Fastest car I've ever driven - C6 ZR1....any car that can spin (cold)tire at 100+mph commands enormous respect.
Favorite Track - Laguna Seca....perhaps it's all the nostalgia from spending hundreds of hours on Forza growing up. Not only LS a great track but there's a lot to do and see in Monterey.
Favorite Corner - T2 at Thunderhill East....a long 180 degree constant-radius turn. This is my all time favorite place to push unfamiliar cars to their limits as well as to teach students about throttle steer and slip angle.
Like many enthusiasts my love for cars started at a young age. I fell in love with driving well before I was even able to even get a license. Eventually, I discovered I enjoyed teaching almost as much as I enjoyed driving. To me there are few greater sensations in life than balancing a car on the ragged edge, feeling each tire being loaded to it's threshold - when you get it right it's like a dance. My goal is to leverage my intense passion for driving and teaching to help others realize their full potential.
I'm a huge proponent of using high quality racing simulators for driver development and general training. Modern simulation software such as Assetto Corsa has tremendously complex tire models and physics engines that allow for an incredibly realistic training environment when paired with equally high-quality PC hardware(low latency monitor, Fanatec / Thrustmaster / Direct Drive wheel and pedals, cockpit etc.). With such a setup you may be shocked at how much you can learn in the comfort of your own home.
